Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou made his triumphant return to MMA in October when he defeated 2023 PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira. Now that he's finally back, it's increased the number of men calling out Ngannou for their next fight.

And one of those men making a play for Ngannou is fellow former UFC fighter Impa Kasanganay. Kasanganay made his PFL debut in 2023 when he rose to fame winning the PFL's light heavyweight title, a huge feat for the man who fought at lightweight in the UFC. Now he's competing for his second title on Nov. 29 when he takes on Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov.

But he's already got eyes on what happens next.

"Let's re-do the Rumble in the Jungle but better in an MMA way. Let's do it in Cameroon where he's from. Let's show people what African MMA and what the next stage of what the African continent, what they can bring to it... Why not bring people there and show them the beauty of these parts? No disrespect to Francis," he said while appearing on the Bowkes Talking Bouts podcast.

He continued, "Like I said I didn't call him out as much after the passing of his son. It was a personal thing that I wanted to respect him by. But I really respect him, who he is, and the fact that he fought hard. If this interview goes by Francis Ngannou and he hears this, like set it up and send the contract."

The fight would be a big leap up for Kasanganay, who hasn't fought higher than 205 pounds in his PFL appearances. Ngannou weighed in at 256 pounds for his last fight.
