UFC 311 is slated for Jan. 18 and will be headlined by two title fights. Fans are primed to see if Islam Makhachev and Merab Dvalishvili can defend their titles or if we'll have a new lightweight or bantamweight champion at the end of the night. But those aren't the only two fights UFC fans should be paying attention to. There's a fight on the main card that we think could get the Fight of the Night honors.
Two former light heavyweight champions will be pitted together to prove who still has the talent and drive to make another run for the belt they once held.

Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill are both coming off losses to the reigning 205-pound champion Alex Pereira which means both will have a similar motivation heading into UFC 311. Both have been champion recently and have a hunger to prove that their still worthy of being in the talk for the next title shot.
Prochazka is always a great fight, he's not one to back down or hold back. That means an immediate banger of a night if he's in the Octagon. Pair that with Hill who might have more to prove than anyone else on the card, and we're in for a treat.
Hill hasn't had a win since January 21, 2023, and his last showing was an enbarrassing first-round knockout that he still makes excuses for even now. There's no way he'll want to be put in that position again. I expect a three-round war, ending in a split decision. The winner is anyone's guess.
