How does the British fighter think the main event will go down?
New York's famous Madison Square Garden hosts the huge UFC 309 event this weekend, which sees a card headlined by UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defending his belt against Stipe Miocic

The pair were set to square off last year, but Jones withdrew due to a pectoral muscle injury, and now former two-time champion Stipe Miicoc will try and capture the strap for a third time.

Looking forward to the event, DAZN spoke exclusively to British star Paddy Pimblett, thanks to AceOdds, who had no hesitation about who he thought would win the headline fight.

"I think Jon Jones is going to win," Pimblett stated.

"I could never pick against Jon Jones, I don't think. I've watched all his fights since before his DQ loss to Matt Hamill. I've been watching him for years. I never thought he was going to lose.

"I don't want to say a round but I think he'll probably get a finish. Stipe rarely gets finished. No disrespect to Daniel Cormier but if Cormier can knock him out with his short body type, and short boxing, I think Jon Jones will be able to keep him long."

As well as the main event, the card also features the lightweight clash between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler, and Pimblett is keeping a close eye on that one as well as looking forward to several other fights on the card.

Adding: "The Chandler fight is the fight I am looking forward to the most obviously because it's in my division. I'm looking forward to Oban Elliott's fight because he’s my mate.

"Veronica's fighting as well. Veronica Hardy, and she trains at my S&C coach. They're the two I'm rooting for."
