Three MMA fights we need to see in 2025

There were many fights in 2024 that we were promised and never got. Still worse there were fights we wanted to see and told they just wouldn't happen. Some of those fights could still make it to a card in 2025 and still others we've given up on seeing all together. But there are three fights we hope make it to fruition next year.

Patchy Mix vs. literally anyone

Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix fought just once in 2024 and we hope that changes in 2025. We'd love to see Mix fight two or three times, perhaps even in the PFL Global Season next year. His opponent isn't even all that important. Getting Mix active and on our TV screens is what we desperately need ASAP.

Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall

We all know how much Jon Jones doesn't want this fight to happen, he's said it many times. But it's the fight to make, even if he doesn't like it. The interim UFC heavyweight champion needs to unify the title with the undisputed champion or Jones needs to drop the title. UFC president Dana White seems on board to make the fight, even promising it will "100 percent" happen. But as of now, it hasn't been officially announce.

Julianna Pena vs. Kayla Harrison

In 2024 UFC fans were introduced to former Olympic and PFL champion Kayla Harrison. She defeated Holly Holm in her debut and then followed it up with a win in her sophomore appearance. The build-up of both her and Julianna Pena's final 2024 performance was clearly a lead-up to their future fight. It hasn't been made official yet, but I would bet the fight gets booked before the end of the first quarter in 2025. We may be looking at a new champion for the women's division sooner rather than later.
