Everyone is geared up to watch the return of former UFC light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight champion Jon Jones. He will be facing one of the UFC's best champions when he faces off with Stipe Miocic in what could be the last bout for both stars.
And while that fight is rightfully getting all the attention, there's another clash on the UFC 309 undercard that really shouldn't be missed.
Jim Miller (37-18) vs. Damon Jackson (23-7) has Fight of the Night written all over it. The two veterans are highly skilled strikers winding down their careers and just fighting for the fun of it, which make them that much more dangerous.
We are all expecting a brutal knockout in the main event but a three-round war is what we predict for these two lightweights. Miller is coming off a loss at UFC 300 after going three rounds with Bobby Green.
Before that he won back-to-back appearances with a submission and knockout. Jackson is coming off three decisions in a row including a brawl with Chepe Mariscal in August.

It's going to take two veterans with the old-school mentality of fighting, with nothing to lose, to give us a battle of the night. Neither is known to back down and with title aspirations unlikely for either man, we don't see either playing it safe or cruising to a points win.
Their fight may not be the same attention as the main event or the co-main event scrap between Charles Oliveira and Michal Chandler but the skill-level and excitement is similar and even casual fans should tune into the prelims to watch it go down.
