The UFC is riding a hot streak after last weekend's historic UFC 300 PPV event in Las Vegas.
Now interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has confirmed when he will be fighting next and it will delight British MMA fans.
UFC President Dana White has made no secret that the promotion's next UK event will take place in Manchester, Aspinall's home city, and in a video on Instagram, Aspinall confirmed UFC Manchester will be the stage for his first title defence.
"It has now been confirmed that I’m fighting on UFC Manchester so I’m back home and preparing for that now," Aspinall said.
"We’re just waiting for my opponent to accept, so stay tuned, keep up with the socials, keep up with the YouTube channel and I’ll be announcing it very soon."
It's expected that UFC Manchester will take place in the summer with the newly built Co-Op Live arena being the frontrunner when it comes to a venue to host the event.
Aspinall was last in action at UFC 295 where he knocked out Sergei Pavlovich to become the UFC's interim heavyweight champion and the number one contender for the full title which is currently held by Jon Jones.
