However, their fortunes have picked up as November came along, with back-to-back league wins to start the month. Those victories have boosted Ajax out of the cellar and into 11th place, a humble position given the stature of the club but still better than before.
They'll look to ride that uptick in form against Brighton, a team that have not won in five Premier League matches. The Seagulls are looking to ignore their recent league results on Thursday and recreate their last Europa League outing — a 2-0 victory over Ajax on Oct. 26.
