It was another rough outing at home for Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as the North London side fell 6-3 to visiting Liverpool.

Spurs fielded a makeshift side against the league-leading Reds as they continue to struggle with injury woes, with 18-year-old central midfielder Archie Gray tasked with starting at centre-back while several others also played out of position.

The experimental lineup did about as well as can be expected against the high-flying Reds, who took full advantage of the situation to extend their lead atop the standings ahead of the holiday fixtures.

For Spurs, Sunday's contest was the latest in a series of matches at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in which the visiting side scored almost at will, with Ange Postecoglou's men now having conceded four, three and six goals in their last three games at home, respectively.

A frustrated Postecoglou faced the media following Sunday's rout and had little time for questions regarding his side's defensive record this season.

"I'm just going to stop answering these questions," Postecoglou told BBC Sport. "If people can't see the obvious I‘m not going to point it out. Make of it what you want, yes we're conceding goals.

"If you want to discount the fact we’re missing a goalkeeper, two centre-backs and left-back and that hasn't coincided with what we're doing… I don’t know what to say anymore. I think people make up their mind in their own way. They either think what I’m doing is good or bad, and that’s fine.

"It’s fairly significant, if you took out Liverpool’s goalkeeper, two centre-backs and a left-back - or any team other than Liverpool, they'd find it tough going as well."
