Tottenham Hotspur fought back from two deficits to claim a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Richarlison's 19th-minute strike for Spurs came in response to Rasmus Holjund's opener in the third minute, while Rodrigo Betancourt equalised less than a minute into the second half after Marcus Rashford had put United up five minutes before halftime.

While Tottenham did well to answer the challenges put forth by their hosts, manager Ange Postecoglu felt like the match could've gone his side's way under different circumstances.

Regardless, he said he was pleased with Tottenham's performance.

"You always want to win games but I couldn't be prouder of the players," Postecoglu told BBC Match of the Day. "They have had to deal with a fair bit this week and to put on a performance like that... I thought the way we handled the game was outstanding."

In his assesment of the match, Postecoglu credited the home side for playing to their identity but highlighted his own team's ability to react and play through some obstacles both on and off the field.

"They are a good team on the counter," he said of the Red Devils. "For the most part we dealt with it OK. Our response to both of their goals was outstanding and I thought in the second half we were the better side and deserved to win.

"We've had a rough week with some illness in the camp. Credit to the players they kept going to the end. It was an outstanding effort."
