Former Arsenal star Lauren believes the best coaches are in the Premier League, and that Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta are at the top of the list.
Guardiola and Arteta have led Manchester City and Arsenal to first and second-place finishes in the Premier League, respectively, in each of the last two seasons. On Sunday, the managers faced off again as their sides battled to a 2-2 draw.
Lauren feels that the former colleagues are the best in the world at what they do, although he does think a legendary La Liga manager is right up there with them.
"In my opinion, you have more of the top players in La Liga than are in the Premier League, but in the Premier League you have the best coaches," Lauren told BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds.
"Tactically, Pep Guardiola is a magician and I think Mikel Arteta is now at the same level, he is another amazing coach.
"I’d say they are the best two coaches in the world, ahead of Carlo Ancelotti, but Ancelotti is the best man manager in the world.
"Look at how he has to manage Vincius Jr, Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe and others, he has proved so many times that he knows exactly how to get the best out of these players and win major trophies, but not in a tactical way like Guardiola.
"When Ancelotti’s teams get to extra time, he doesn’t say a word to them, his job is already done, they both have the tools to win trophies but different tools."
