Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says striker Gabriel Jesus is "different this season" after a disappointing 2023-24 campaign for the Brazilian.
After scoring 11 goals in 2022-23, a lot was expected from the 27-year-old last season, but it did not materialise.
Instead, Jesus scored just four goals in 27 Premier League appearances, none of which coming after January.
But speaking after Arsenal's preseason win over Bayer Leverkusen - in which Jesus scored - Arteta spoke positively about his striker moving forward.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Arteta said: "When I saw him my first feeling was that he was different, I could sense it.
"His energy was different, the way he looks is different, the way he’s moving is different. He really wants it.
"Now it’s about finding that consistency and doing it in any context, against any opponent, against any formation, any day, every three days, for 90 minutes, for 30 minutes, for 70 minutes.
"If you are able to produce in those circumstances? It looks good."
Arsenal begin their Premier League campaign at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, August 17.
