Switzerland v Cameroon – Group G – 10:00 – November 24

After topping a UEFA Qualifying group with European Champions Italy in 2021, Switzerland seem to have taken their foot off the gas in 2022.

The Swiss outfit only conceded twice during the qualification stages for Qatar, but have kept just one clean sheet in nine outings this year.

Switzerland’s only warm-up match prior to the World Cup saw them lose a friendly 2-0 to Ghana, but Cameroon have also had a pretty disappointing warm-up ahead of their first match in Qatar, losing to both Uzbekistan and South Korea, as well as only managing a 1-1 draw at home to Jamaica.

The European side may be favourites to win this encounter, but their struggles against Ghana in the UAE suggest their performance could suffer in humid conditions. Cameroon may not have set the world alight themselves, but there’s plenty of value in taking them to win this match by a single goal.

Traders’ Tip: Winning Margin – Cameroon to win by 1 goal @ 13/2. A £10 bet at these odds could return £75

Uruguay v South Korea – Group H – 13:00 – November 24

Uruguay have looked strong during 2022, picking up seven wins from their nine matches so far this year. This run of form ensured that they finished third in the CONMEBOL qualifying group, as well as beating Mexico, Panama and Canada in friendlies.

Defeats to Brazil and the UAE are the South Korean’s only losses in 2022 and they look well prepared for Qatar, having won nine times from thirteen outings ahead of their opening game.

Son Heung-min could be the player who makes the difference here, having scored four goals in his last five appearances for South Korea. The Spurs forward scored two of their three goals in the last World Cup and looks well priced to maintain his impressive form in international competition.

Traders’ Tip: Anytime Goalscorer – Son Heung-min @ 7/2. A £10 bet at these odds could return £45

Portugal v Ghana – Group H – 16:00 – November 24

Ghana might be the worst ranked side in the competition, but they'll be looking to prove they aren’t just here to make up the numbers when they take on Portugal in Doha.

The African side overcame Nigeria via away goals to book their place in Qatar and enter the tournament fresh from their recent 2-0 warm-up victory against Switzerland.

Portugal overcame both Turkey and North Macedonia in a play-off to secure their sixth straight World Cup appearance. They can't afford to drop points against arguably the weakest team in Group H if they want safe passage to the knockout stages.

Despite their strong showing against Switzerland, Ghana have not looked at all convincing during 2022. They were eliminated in the group stages of the 2021 African Cup of Nations, losing to lowly ranked Comoros in the process, and only managed a draw when they faced Central African Republic in qualifying for the 2023 tournament. They should find this well-balanced Portugal side too much to handle.

Traders’ Tip: Portugal -1.5 @ 6/5. A £10 bet at these odds could return £22.

Brazil v Serbia – Group G – 19:00 – November 24

Brazil look set to be the ones to beat in Qatar and they'll be hoping to get off to the best possible start against a stubborn looking Serbian side.

Serbia are the lowest ranked European team in the competition, but their unbeaten passage through the qualifying stages, as well as recent promotion to League A of the UEFA Nations League, suggests they could be a tricky opponent for the world’s top ranked team.

Brazil breezed through their entire 17 match CONMEBOL qualifying campaign unbeaten, with the trio of Richarlison, Neymar and Raphina scoring ten goals in Brazil’s last four fixtures between them. The latter has started all four of those games and looks well priced to get on the scoresheet once again.

Traders’ Tip: Anytime Goalscorer - Raphina @ 11/5. A £10 bet at these odds could return £32
