The Championship begins it's biggest period of the season, where anything can happen in the run of games ahead of the festive period.
At the top, it's now Leeds who top the division, albiet just on goal difference ahead of Sheffield United and with both Sunderland and Burnley snapping at their heels.
Here's a look at this week's biggest story in the division and a look ahead to the weekend's action.
The talking point
The managerial merry-go-round continues to spin in the Championship, with Hull sacking boss Tim Walter after just 17 games in charge. The Tigers' poor form has seen them drop into the bottom three, and the German has quickly paid the price.
However, the biggest news ahead of this weekend's action is the appointment of Frank Lampard at Coventry City. The Premier League legend has been out of work since leaving Chelsea in 2023 but will return to the Championship for the first time since his spell with Derby to suceed Mark Robins as the Sky Blues' new boss.
On announcing the appointment, City Owner and Executive Chairman Doug King said:
“I am delighted that Frank Lampard has agreed to join our club as Head Coach. Frank cut his teeth in the Championship and knows what is needed in this League to be successful.
“His experiences thereafter at Chelsea and Everton will ensure he brings to our talented squad clear understanding of exactly what is needed to succeed at the very top level that we as a Club are striving to reach.”
The pick of the weekend
Sheffield United vs. Sunderland
Two teams that have led the promotion race so far this season clash to open up the weekend in Matchday 17's Friday night offering.
The Blades come into it as the division's in-form team, unbeaten in their last six and with currently only goal difference stopping them from topping the division.
They'll welcome a Sunderland side who have slightly dropped off the pace following a spell that has seen them without a win since the end of October, having drawn their last five matches.
