Arsenal must not throw in the towel in their hunt for a long-awaited Premier League title this term, with Chris Sutton imploring fans to keep the faith in their club.
The Gunners are six points off leaders Liverpool heading towards the festive period, with an additional game played over the Reds too after the Merseyside derby was postponed.
Coupled with a Chelsea revival and the ever-looming threat of Manchester City - even with their own tribulations - it looks like Mikel Arteta's men have an uphill battle ahead.
But Sutton, a Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers almost three decades ago, believes that their supporters still have reason to hope they can end a long wait for glory.
"All the top teams are having to cope with European football and the demands of that," he told spaceportsweden.com. "There is that balance to be struck.
"The games are coming thick and fast. I know you get the tag of ‘set-piece Arsenal’, but it’s not a bad tag to have. You want that balance where they score more from open play.
"If you’re an Arsenal fan at this moment in time, you'll be disappointed because [and] you think you can't keep dropping points. [But] I wouldn't be chucking in the towel just yet."
Arsenal contest three games in the next week across as many competitions, starting with a UEFA Champions League clash against Monaco on Wednesday.
They then host Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, before they welcome Crystal Palace to face them in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on December 18.
