Football legend sets timeline on playing career.

Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted the lid on his possible future plans for both club and country.

The Portuguese legend will be 39 next year but shows no signs of slowing down his illustrious career, however he has hinted that his current club Al-Nassr is where he'll end his playing career.

In an interview with Portuguese channel Now, Ronaldo said: "I don't know if I will retire soon, in two or three years, but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr.

"I'm happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I'm happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue."

Ronaldo also remains an integral part of the national team, despite some speculation he could retire after Euro 2024. The forward has dismissed those claims and set sights on the side's upcoming Nations League campaign.

"When I leave the national team, I won't tell anyone in advance and it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a very well thought-out one," he added.

"Right now what I want is to be able to help the national team in their upcoming matches.

"We have the Nations League ahead of us and I would really like to play."
