It's a top-of-the-table clash in Group D of Euro 2024 qualifying as Croatia take on Turkey in Osijek on Thursday.
The teams are tied on 10 points apiece, but Croatia hold on to first place by virtue of having played one fewer game than the rest of the group. That means the Croatians can really grab a stranglehold of the top spot with a victory, and recent form suggests they are ready to do just that.
Croatia haven't lost a match since the semi-finals of last year's World Cup, although they did fall on penalties to Spain in the UEFA Nations League final in June. Regardless, the team have been among the best in the world in 2023, meaning Turkey will need to be at their best in order to get a result.
To that end, Turkey have struggled of late, drawing and losing their two most recent matches against Armenia and Japan, respectively. They'll need an uptick in form in order to keep Croatia from taking sole possession of first place in the group.
