David Seaman reveals who he thinks are favourites in the Premier League title raceDAZN
Who is the former England number one backing to win the Premier League?

David Seaman may be one the greatest goalkeepers in Arsenal's history, but he's backing another one of his former clubs to win this season's Premier League.

The Gunners have put themselves right back in the title race following a win over rivals Liverpool and last weekend's drubbing of West Ham, leading many to speculate that there may be a three-horse race for the top spot for the remainder of the season.

However, Seaman, who finished his career at the Etihad Stadium, told his podcast Seaman Says, proudly sponsored by Parimatch, that he still thinks Manchester City are the team to beat.

“It just doesn’t look like there’s a chance of anyone toppling Manchester City,” said Seaman.

“They look like they’re just getting warmed up again. Kevin De Bruyne’s been out for a while, but he’s come back and is playing brilliantly again. Erling Haaland scored two goals at the weekend too – you can see they’re getting better and better.

“They’re used to that position and they know the pressure – they’ve handled it before. They’ve just shown that you can take their two best players out of the team for a few games and they can still produce results.

"That’s where the greatness of the squad comes in – you look at the benches for both them and Liverpool, and they’ve still got players there who could walk into almost any other team.

"That’s my worry with Arsenal – how strong their bench is. If they get injuries to key players, like they did last season, then I’d be a little bit worried for them.”
