Chelsea managaer Enzo Maresca says his team are "happy" with a point after they fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League.
Moises Caicedo cancelled out a Bruno Fernandes penalty with an excellent strike in the second half to ensure the Blues left Old Trafford with a point after a difficult game.
It was the first top-flight game for interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy after Erik ten Hag was dismissed last month, while new boss Ruben Amorim does not start for a week.
Speaking afterwards, Maresca was still happy to take a result away from their road trip despite the upheaval faced by their opponents in the run-up to their encounter.
"We knew it was a difficult game for many reasons," he told BBC Sport. "We scored, we came back. We are happy because we knew how difficult it would be.
"The [United] players want to prove they're good enough. A new manager with different ideas so we had to prepare a different way."
Chelsea moved fourth with the draw, continuing their impressive form under Maresca since he took the reins during the off-season.
They now trail leaders Liverpool by seven points, Manchester City by five and Nottingham Forest by one, while they sit ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.
The Blues next return to continental action in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday when they face Armenian Premier League outfit Noah.
