Chelsea couldn't hold on to an early lead as they drew 1-1 with visiting Cryrstal Palace on Sunday.
The Blues went ahead in the 25th minute through Nicolas Jackson before giving up a stunning 53rd-minute strike to Eberechi Eze, allowing Palace to claim a point despite massive advantages for Chelsea in possession, shots and passing.
It was the kind of match that Enzo Maresca would hope his side could come away from with all three points, but the Chelsea manager was heartened by the way the team played despite the disappointing scoreline.
"We completely deserved to win the game," Maresca told Sky Sports moments after the final whistle. "We had many, many chances. The most important thing was the performance and the performance was there. We conceded just two shots today.
"We didn't take the three points but playing the way we did today, I think we will win games."
