Eric Dier has described one of the main differences between Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou.
Conte was one of the most successful Tottenham managers after Mauricio Pochettino departed a few years ago, but he grew frustrated with what he perceived as a lack of transfer support.
Conte ultimately departed and after a succession of replacements, it appears Postecoglou is the man to take Tottenham forward.
Tottenham are fighting with Aston Villa for the final Champions League spot with Manchester United now almost certainly out of the running.
Dier was one of the casualties of the Postecoglou era after he was dropped from the first team and had no obvious way back to first-team football in North London.
Instead, he left in the January transfer window to join Bayern Munich on loan, with the move since made permanent.
Speaking to Sky Bet, he noted one big difference between the two coaches on the training ground.
He said: “No, interestingly [Postecoglou] really doesn’t do any tactical work, what he does is, every single training drill from Monday to Friday is drawn up to represent the way that he wants to play.
“Conte, I could do it blind, but that was a lot of tactical work Monday to Friday, a lot of ten versus zero, walkthroughs – you were so well drilled, it would be ingrained in you.”
