Liverpool will have a new manager next season after Jurgen Klopp recently revealed that this campaign will be his last at the club.
The German boss will step down this May following a successful nine year run at Anfield that has seen him collect multiple honours including the Champions League and Premier League.
Since the announcement, many managers have been linked with the job which is set to be one of the best available.
Xabi Alonso, currently thriving at Bayer Leverkusen, is the front runner for the position, but other names are linked. Former heavyweight contender, David Price, a huge Liverpool fan, has had his say on the matter.
“It’s gotta be someone who can hit the ground running,” said Price when speaking to DAZN courtesy of Online Roulette.
“Liverpool haven't got the time to be going through transitional periods again. We’re at the elite level and we’re gonna be back in the Champions League.
“Xabi Alonso was a great Liverpool player, but I do think he’s unproven as a manager. But who else is available? It’s tough. I haven't got a preference to be honest.”
