Manchester City remain third in the Premier League after an emphatic 3-0 victory over rivals Manchester United on Sunday, but former club captain Richard Dunne isn't too worried.
Last season's treble winners are within two points of league leaders Tottenham after 10 matches played, with Arsenal level on points with the Sky Blues but ahead on tiebreakers. Additionally, both Liverpool and Aston Villa are in the mix as the top five sides slowly pull away from the remainder of the league's teams.
With all of that in mind, Dunne believes that City's experience in recent title races gives them the edge, even if some of the other teams may currently be in better form.
Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds, Dunne said: "I still think Manchester City will win the Premier League."
Dunne points to the Oct. 8 meeting between Arsenal and City, in which the Gunners claimed a 1-0 victory, as little more than a confidence boost for the north London side that finished second to the Sky Blues last season.
"The big result at (the Emirates) will help Arsenal's confidence, though," he said.
"City have gone down this road before and they always come back stronger.
"I think results like this make the league most interesting, however, and the current top four all look very strong.
"I think the title will come down to who has the nerve, and I think Man City have that."
City are three-time defending Premier League champions who have won the title seven times since the club's current ownership took over, and it's that consistency that Dunne feels separates his old side from the rest.
The team have been here before and know when to turn it on, Dunne said.
"We saw Arsenal celebrate the victory over City like they just won the league! There's still a long way to go," he said.
"Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne are big misses at the moment, but when the season fully kicks in and other teams start to feel the fatigue, I'd back City as they've done it all before.
"City will have a tough season as they'll compete in the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and the Club World Cup, but the squad has so much energy and they almost seemed to be primed after Christmas.
"They tend to tick over before then before motoring away. I'd back them!"
