Mikael Silvestre believes Manchester United is the better option than Real Madrid for Lille defender Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old has been linked to the biggest clubs in Europe after breaking through with Les Dogues during the most recent season, as Yoro made 44 appearances for the side that finished fourth in Ligue 1.
Among the clubs with reported interest in the teenager are United and Madrid, and Silvestre has urged his young compatriot to follow his own footsteps to Old Trafford instead of heading to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking to bettingexpert.com, Silvestre explained that Yoro might have to wait to play at Madrid while the Red Devils may be able to utilise him much sooner.
"For Leny Yoro, it's a different league, a different level. Manchester United is more of a long term project," Silvestre said.
"Real Madrid, they're losing Nacho and have ageing CBs.
"At United, I think there's more opportunity for Leny Yoro to come and play straight away with Lisandro Martinez. So I would say United is a better option."
