The United defender has battled back from a difficult season last campaign to be one of few players in the squad to come out of this season with any credit.
His form is great news for Gareth Southgate, and the former Red Devils centre-back told BetVictor Maguire has definitely booked his place on the plane to Germany.
“Harry Maguire has proven to be a pivotal player this season and United have had a hard time coping without him for the past couple of games,” said Pallister.
“I wasn’t someone who slated him when he was having a tough time and for the previous years leading up to this season there had never really been any issues with him. Everybody then seemed to pile on and his form did suffer which may have been in reaction to the negativity surrounding him.
“It is difficult to come thorugh those periods and most players do go through it at one time or another in their career. He could’ve taken the easy route out and moved to West Ham, but he stuck at it and he’s reaping the rewards.
"He’s a shoo-in now for the England squad and it is a testament to his diligence and belief in himself. He went through a tough moment but he’s been a terrific centre-back and now he’s reaping the benefits of riding out that tough time.”
