Gary Pallister has paid tribute to David Beckham’s contributions at Manchester United by saying the former England captain would be as worth as much as PSG forward, Kylian Mbappe.
Beckham is currently the subject of a feature length documentary on Netflix, and he has a huge admirer in his former United teammate.
As a player, Beckham achieved incredible heights at Manchester United by being a central part of their treble success in 1999.
After leaving United for Real Madrid in 2003, Beckham spent four years in Spain before spells at LA Galaxy, AC Milan, and PSG. Now the co-owner of Inter Miami and Salford City, Beckham has received huge praise from Pallister.
“How much Beckham would be worth today would depend on how many shirts he’d sell,” said Pallister when speaking to Betway.
“If Beckham in 2023 was at the age he was when he left for Real Madrid, then he'd be worth what the Saudis are offering Mbappe. If you look at the whole package and what he offers both on and off the pitch, we're talking at least £100m.
“He was the most famous footballer in the world in his day, and if he had that profile now, I think that's what you're looking at. He'd be in the Mbappe range.”
