A pair of teams fighting to be among the European places meet on Sunday as Tottenham host Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Spurs were the league leaders until recently, but back-to-back losses ahead of the international break dropped the side into fourth place. One point behind them are Villa, who have won four of their last five league matches and are looking at this fixture as an opportunity to pass another team on the table.

With the teams so close together in the standings, there's little to separate them ahead of a huge match. One particularly interested observer for Sunday's game is Alan Hutton, who played for both sides during his career.

He expects a very close match.

“It's a tough one to decide because you think of all the factors," Hutton told OLBG. "Villa have done well against Spurs; they won the last two league games they played last season.

"It might depend on, Tottenham's injury situation, they'll still have a couple suspended. Villa haven't been great away from home. It needs to improve.

"So I think it will be close with the high lines and the way the teams play, there could be goals.

“All the things that are going on at this moment in time and the way Villa plays such a high line and the space in behind, obviously Ange's team with the full-backs going forward, it could be one of those games where they're just goals galore, but I'll go for a 2-2 draw.”
