After the drama at the Etihad last weekend, the Premier League resumes, kicking off with Manchester City's visit to St James' Park to play Newcastle.
City's title rivals host Leicester City later on Saturday, while Sunday's headline game sees Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Ahead of the weekend, Harry Redknapp gave BetVictor his predictions for Matchday Six.
Manchester United 2-2 Tottenham
Just as soon as Manchester United start to settle down and play, they have a couple of lacklustre performances and everybody’s back to square one. You never know which United are going to turn up. I think they’ll surprise everyone this weekend with a decent performance, but it’ll be frustration time at Old Trafford yet again.
All credit to Ange Postecoglou in Europe, they went down to 10 men early in the game, but his team produced a professional performance to win the game 3-0. Spurs were sensational against Brentford and it’s encouraging to see Dominic Solanke banging them in. That’s just what any new player needs.
I’m looking forward to this match, but I bet the Man United fans will be watching it from behind the sofa!
One to watch: Dominic Solanke has come out of the traps now and I think he’s going on a goal run.
Newcastle 1-2 Manchester City
Newcastle’s unbeaten run ended as they lost to Fulham away at Craven Cottage last Saturday. If you let one in within five minutes you’ve got to strike back as soon as! The Magpies only had one shot on target in the first half. They posed more of a threat later on but if they want to beat the likes of Manchester City, they’ll need to be a lot more decisive.
I hope they’ve reinforced the seats at St. James’ Park! Pep Guardiola wasn’t a happy camper last week. To top all that things weren’t straightforward in the Carabao Cup either, Watford could have caused an upset. It just shows you that City do have their weak spots, but teams must find the cracks in their armour. Easier said than done!
Eddie Howe will have noted that 10-man Arsenal held off City for the entire 2nd half, right up until the 98th minute. That’ll inspire any manager this season.
One to watch: When Erling Haaland scored that opener against Arsenal I thought, here we go, but Gabriel silenced him. The lad wants to score in every game, and you can never rule him out. He’ll want goal 101!
Arsenal 3-0 Leicester
Talk about a masterclass in defence, it was almost the finest moment in Mikel Arteta’s managerial career. I marked out David Raya last week as my one to watch and what a heroic display from that man. I’m not sure about all this Dark Arts talk, they were just doing what they had to do to see out a game against the reigning champions with 10 men.
Leicester had a very close shave in the Carabao Cup. Just squeezing through on penalties against League Two Walsall is not a good look for Steve Cooper and the team. I think the Foxes are going to come up against a massive red wall at the Emirates.
The Gunners cruised to victory against Bolton, and it was lovely to see Raheem Sterling get on the scoresheet. That’ll boost confidence all-round.
One to watch: It's high time Bukayo Saka got a goal; he’s been there and thereabouts for a while now. I see him popping one in against Leicester.
Chelsea 2-0 Brighton
Chelsea really have potential, I’ve been saying this for a few weeks now. They are starting to show us how exciting they can be and all credit to Enzo Maresca. They made light work of West Ham, not to mention the five-goal thrashing of Barrow in the Carabao Cup. Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson make a lovely pairing, it’s nice to see that camaraderie on the pitch.
It was a feisty encounter down on the south coast last Sunday for Brighton against Nottingham Forest! What a free kick from Danny Welbeck, what a start to the season he’s having. Brighton will be kicking themselves with the result but as a neutral it was hugely entertaining.
Chelsea won both Premier League meetings with Brighton last season, despite having a player sent off in each game. I’m going with the home side on this one.
One to watch: Nicolas Jackson was just zooming past the West Ham defence last week without a care in the world.
Wolves 0-2 Liverpool
I don’t think I’ve seen such an impressive start for a new manager at a top club. Let’s face it, Jurgen Klopp’s boots are big to fill but Arne Slot has bedded in so quickly. An emphatic victory over Bournemouth followed by the battering of West Ham, players firing on all cylinders, Slot must be as pleased as punch with his team.
Last week I said it was going to be noisy at Villa Park in the West Midlands derby and I wasn’t wrong! A win over their arch-rivals could have been just the spark Wolves needed to turn their form around but that didn’t happen. The last thing they wanted was Liverpool rocking up to Molineux.
I can’t see anything other than an easy Liverpool win here. Gary O'Neil's going to have a tough afternoon.
One to watch: Luis Díaz is Liverpool’s stand out player so far this season. It’s not just the goals, it’s what he creates too. He’s electric!

Ipswich 1-3 Aston Villa
Aston Villa have won all their matches this season bar one against Arsenal which is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, Unai Emery’s record is pretty much perfect. Coming back from a goal down against Wolves was impressive especially since they were recovering from a European hangover!
There’s nothing better than a dramatic injury-time goal and Ipswich’s equaliser against Southampton would have settled them down. These points are vital for teams hovering around the relegation zone. But now they’ve got to be on top of their defensive game with Ollie Watkins coming over to Norfolk.
Plucky Ipswich will give a good account of themselves at home but Villa have the bit between their teeth at the minute. They’ll get a decent win here.
One to watch: Ollie Watkins or Jhon Durán, it’s impossible to pick between these two and now Emi Buendía is back too! I’m not budging from last week though and my eye is still on Watkins.
Brentford 1-1 West Ham
I’m puffing out my cheeks here when I think about West Ham against Chelsea last week. I didn’t see that coming, they were just turned over. It was even worse at Anfield in the Carabao Cup! Julen Lopetegui needs to get his act together before the fans start turning on him. A trip up the road to Brentford is just the sort of game the Hammers need now.
That’s two weeks in a row where Brentford have lost after taking the lead in the opening seconds. There’s no shame in defeats at Manchester City and Spurs, but the manager will know his side did themselves no favours in north London. They were architects of their own downfall.
Both these sides are guilty of giving the ball away far too easily. I see this match as being an uncomfortable watch for both sets of fans who’ll be biting their nails for the 90!
One to watch: That volley against Spurs was superb from Bryan Mbeumo. He’s scored four goals in five matches and he’ll be hungry for more.
Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace
I was happy for Sean Dyche and Everton finally getting a point last week against Leicester. They got off to the perfect start and then much like the weather, things took a turn! Everton just keep letting leads slip, but at least this time they managed to hold on. It’s the little positives like that which can mark the start of a good spell.
It could have been all over in the first half at Old Trafford last week but thanks to some fantastic goalkeeping Crystal Palace managed to stay in the game. As things progressed, they created a lot of opportunities. Ebere Eze squandered a couple of clear-cut chances, and that miss will be giving Ismaila Sarr nightmares!
Palace are settling into the season, but I’ve got a nasty feeling they’ll visit Goodison just as Everton’s fortunes change for the better.
One to watch: Eberechi Eze is a fabulous player, he could have scored two against Man United. I can see him hitting the back of the net in this fixture.
Nottingham Forest 2-2 Fulham
Both these teams are really impressing me this season. Apart from being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Preston North End, Fulham bounced back and saw off Newcastle. They really showed their quality when it counted, they’ve got a formidable front four.
Nuno Espirito Santo will be licking his wounds after that thrilling stand-off down at Brighton. He strikes me as a man with nerves of steel and would have banged a few heads together for sure. They could have snatched the three points but wasted a solid gold chance.
I’m expecting a four-goal thriller at Forest, and I can’t wait. Two sides going hell-for-leather, brilliant.
One to watch: It’s got to be Raul Jiménez all the way. This player is rolling back the years on his current form.
Bournemouth 2-1 Southampton
Southampton are still searching for their first win in the Premier League. It wasn’t that long ago when Southampton would have looked down on their neighbours, but times have changed! A short trip through the New Forest could be the tonic they need after throwing away a win late in the game against Ipswich.
It wasn’t all one-way traffic for Bournemouth at Anfield last week and Antoine Semenyo kept the keeper busy in the first half, but the collapse was inevitable. Manager Andoni Iraola will welcome this fixture after having to face the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool. Both sides will be feeling the pressure here.
I expect this south coast derby to be a tight game, but I think the Cherries will walk away with the local bragging rights.
One to watch: I’m certain we’ll see keeper Aaron Ramsdale being kept on his toes here. He’s great between the sticks and I’m expecting some cracking saves.
