However, the former Tottenham midfielder has hailed another one of the Three Lions stars for their displays throughout the tournament.
Jordan Pickford was again the hero for the Three Lions during their penalty shootout win against Switzerland, and O'Hara told Grosvenor Sport he thinks the Everton goalie should be seen as one of the best the country has ever had in his position.
“Jordan Pickford gave a 10/10 performance on Saturday,” he said.
“He was the hero of the game. I think he’s one of the greatest – if not the greatest – English goalkeepers ever. He’s saved more penalties for England than any other goalkeeper in major tournaments – he’s just unbelievable. You can tell he has a system in his head for penalties and he’s just built for those big moments."
Having seen Pickford's heroics, O'Hara says England now has every reason to be confident when it comes to spot kicks - especially given the players the team have taking the penalties.
Adding: “Obviously I was nervous for the shootout, but when you look at the goalkeeper we have and the five penalty takers who stepped up, I was confident England would win.
"All of our selections are penalty takers for their clubs too, except for Bellingham, who’s just a class act. I back us to beat anyone on penalties – I don’t think teams will want to go up against us there.”
