It was a new-look Liverpool side that took on hosts Fulham on Sunday, and Jurgen Klopp's changes proved fruitful as the Reds came away 3-1 winners.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota scored the goals for a Liverpool side that featured six different players in the starting lineup from the team that played in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final match against Atalanta.
Klopp made the changes with the congested schedule in mind, as Liverpool will next be in action on Wednesday in a Merseyside derby against Everton.
"I said before the game that I hate thinking about the game after the game [in front of us], but that's how it is," Klopp told BBC Match of the Day. "We play in another three days so let's see who lines up there."
Keeping the side fresh is paramount for the manager, who hopes to guide his team to another Premier League title amid a tight race with Arsenal and Manchester City.
For the most part, Klopp felt that the team fared well against a Fulham side that kept the match level until the second half.
"For 80 minutes we played a really good game," he said. "I didn't like the last 10 minutes of the first half and they got the goal. But that's alright because I loved the second half.
"We could show again what we did really well in the first half - we kept the ball, created, and scored some good goals. We had some good chances on top of that too. We made some changes and the boys did really well."
