Inter Milan needed to score at least twice in Tuesday's Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against Juventus.
Unfortunately for the Nerazzurri, they didn't even score once.
After 90 minutes at the Allianz Stadium, Inter and Juve played to a 0-0 stalemate. The result was good enough to see Juventus through to the final, as the Bianconeri were 2-1 victors in last week's first leg and claimed the aggregate win.
Despite needing goals on Tuesday, Inter were outchanced by their hosts. Juve managed four shots on goal to Inter's three, including a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo efforts that were well turned away by Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. Inter did manage to ramp up the attack as the clock ticked down but offered nothing that troubled veteran 'keeper Gianluigi Buffon too much.
Juventus now awaits the Atalanta-Napoli semifinal winner, which is scoreless heading into Wednesday's second leg.
