Manchester City are "starting to get better" after recording back-to-back victories for the first time since October with a 4-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
An Erling Haaland double, plus one for Phil Foden and a Vladimir Coufal own goal, helped the hosts ring in the new year on a triumphant note after a difficult few months.
City have been mired in an all-timer slump this term, handing a major blow to their aspirations of a successful title defence, with Pep Guardiola at a loss for answers throughout.
But Kevin De Bruyne feels that with victory over the Hammers coming on the heels of a win over Leicester City, they are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
"We know it has been a tough season but I think today was an improvement from the last game," the Belgium international told BBC's Match of the Day after the final whistle.
"Physically we are starting to get better so with playing games and winning we hopefully get some confidence and it will get better."
