The Championship returned this weekend following the last international break of 2024, and there are new leaders at the top of the table.
Leeds United leapfrogged into first place, with three teams locked together on the same points.
Here are the winners and losers from this weekend's Championship action.
Winners
Leeds United
Daniel Farke's side looked like they were messing up the script on Sunday when the opportunity was presented to them to go to the top of the table, but Wilfried Gnonto's 91st minute goal against Swansea propelled Leeds to the summit of the division. The promotion race is looking like a tight affair, but Leeds are right in the thick of it and, given their form, could be the ones to chase.
Michael Carrick
The former England man's team, Middlesbrough, have gone goal crazy either side of the international break, and it's making them the division's most-feared team! After putting four past QPR, they beat Luton 5-1 and this weekend hit Oxford for 6! Blackburn had better watch out because Boro and hat-trick hero Emmanuel Latte Lath look unstoppable in front of the goal.
Andre Gray
Andre Gray is making a welcome habit of randomly popping up for Championship clubs and scoring points-winning screamers in recent seasons. It wasn't too long ago that the striker pulled off the trick for QPR, but he's now resurfaced in Plymouth and almost single-handedly won Wayne Rooney's side a point against Watford. His 96th-minute equaliser will surely be one of the goals of the season.

Losers
Anel Ahmedhodzic
Sheffield United's away day at Coventry was derailed by one of the silliest sendings off of the season. The Bosnian fell into the trap of Sky Blues forward Norman Bassette, and his blatant push was only ever going to result in an early bath. The dismissal robbed the Blades of a game they were winning at the time, and Bassette rubbed salt in the wounds with a Cristiano Ronaldo-like wink in the aftermath.
Hull City
Alarm bells are ringing at the MKM Stadium as Tim Walter's side suffered another defeat at the weekend, this time losing 1-0 to Luton. It's the Tigers third loss in a row and sees them drop into the bottom three of the Championship. Points against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday would be very welcome before the tide starts to turn against the manager.
Zan Celar
QPR sold both Sinclair Armstrong and Lydon Dykes in the summer to accommodate Celar as the club's new number 9, but it's not gone to plan for the Slovenian. He's failed to score a single goal for the club since arriving and made matters worse on Saturday when he steered a penalty-kick wide of the post in the 1-1 draw with Stoke.
