Leicester City and Liverpool last met in the Premier League on Nov. 22, a comprehensive 3-0 victory for the Reds.
It seems like a lifetime ago, given how results have gone for Liverpool since then. Jurgen Klopp's men have fallen to fourth on the table thanks to an injury crisis and loss of form, the combination of which has seen the club lose more league games than it has won since the calendar switched to 2021.
Meanwhile, Leicester has lost just once in the new year, winning four Premier League matches while drawing another two. The Foxes are in third place heading into the weekend, three points above Liverpool and knocking on the door for Manchester United's second-place spot.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers will be keen to keep the momentum going. It would be especially sweet to create further space between his current and former clubs while also exacting some revenge for that November loss.

Leicester City vs. Liverpool team news
Dennis Praet, Wes Morgan and Wesley Fofana are definitely ruled out for Leicester. Timothy Castagne is also expected to miss the game as it comes a few days too early for him to recover from a thigh issue. There are also concerns over James Justin and Ayoze Perez. However, manager Brendan Rodgers will hope to have a fully-fit Wilfred Ndidi back in his midfield for a full 90 minutes after he was subbed off in midweek.
For Liverpool, Diogo Jota is still a few weeks off recovering from a knee injury, while Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Naby Keita all remain sidelined. Manager Jurgen Klopp may decide the time is right to give new signing Ozan Kabak a start in the centre of defence, which could push Jordan Henderson into midfield to replace Curtis Jones.
