Liverpool maintained their place at the top of the Premier League table with a 4-1 win over Brentford in Saturday's early kick off.
Darwin Nunez, Alexis Mac Allister, a returning Mohamad Salah and Cody Gakpo all bagged goals for the Reds, but the team were once again hit with injuries during the game.
Before half-time, Diogo Jota was stretchered off while defender Curtis Jones was also forced to make an early exit.
Then came the news that Nunez, who opened the scoring with an impressive chip, was replaced at the start of second half by Gakpo as a result of an injury concern.
With Liverpool still in contention for four trophies, these injury problems could not come at a worse time as the fixture list becomes more congested and chaotic.
Speaking to TNT Sports following his team's win, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp offered an update on the injuries sustained by Jota, Jones and Nunez.
"I think there was a knock on Curtis [Jones]. It was a challenge with Diogo [Jota] as well and Darwin [Nunez] we are not sure if he has something or not, he felt something," Klopp said.
"We will see. It was never easy for us, at the moment it is fine. We have 57 points and in a few days play again."
Liverpool's squad could become more stretched next week when they host Luton Town in the Premier League on Wednesday, before facing Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium four days later.
