Liverpool are top of the Premier League and can hold on to that lofty position with a victory over visiting Manchester United on Sunday.

The Reds are in fine form, having won six of their last seven matches across all competitions. They took over first place in the league last weekend after previous leaders Arsenal fell to Aston Villa, and Jurgen Klopp's men will be motivated to stay there.

They'll face a United side who are flailing after losing three of their last four games. The Red Devils must now try to turn things around at a ground in which their previous visit resulted in their joint-heaviest defeat in team history, a 7-0 loss at Anfield in March.

''I think everyone knows we have to be highly motivated when you go to Anfield," said United manager Erik ten Hag

"It is a great place to go and you know it is going to be tough. I think that is something which every top footballer wants, to have that challenge.

"You have to look forward and of course, last year, we have it in our memory, but you have to take the benefit from it. Learn from it. On Sunday, we can prove that.''
