Pep Guardiola announced the news at Wednesday's press conference.

Manchester City will be without top scorer Erling Haaland for Thursday's Premier League match against Brighton.

Pep Guardiola's side are four points behind Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title, though they do have two games in hand over the Gunners.

However City, who are hoping to defend their Premier League title, will have to manage without the league's top goalscorer at the Amex Stadium tomorrow night.

Thankfully for the Citizens, speaking at Wednesday's pre-match press conference, Guardiola said Haaland's injury is not a serious one and other players will be available.

"Erling Haaland is not ready for tomorrow," said Guardiola.

"It's not a big issue, but not allowed for this game.

"The other two [Phil Foden and John Stones] are ready."
