It was another big win for Arsenal on Monday, as they defeated Sheffield United 6-0 at Bramall Lane to keep pace in the Premier League title race.
The Gunners have now rung off seven league wins in a row, scoring four goals or more in each of the last four matches. It's been a brilliant start to 2024 for the North London side, who limped into the new year having lost their final two games and going winless in four of their final five league matches in 2023.
A Jan. 7 FA Cup loss to Liverpool extended the downward trend into the current calendar year, but the team then had nearly two weeks off before returning to league action and starting their current hot streak.
During that time, the team headed to Dubai for a week-long training camp, and it appears to have paid dividends.
Club captain Martin Odegaard pointed to the training camp as a reason for their current success, citing the need for a mental and physical reset after a gruelling December.
"I think we needed a break to be honest," Odegaard told Sky Sports after Monday's victory. "We were in a tough moment before, we were tired and we needed a restart.
"We worked on some details and had some time off and have come back strong, we just need to keep it up as the end of the season is when it matters.
"Every game is crucial. The top is a good fight and every game is important and another three points is what we want to get, so hopefully we can do that."
