The Mohamed Salah goodbye tour may already be on at Liverpool.
Salah was hugely influential in his club's 3-0 victory at Manchester United on Sunday, assisting on both of Luis Diaz's goals before scoring one of his own. It was a positive result in a match Salah deemed "important" for Liverpool fans.
"I managed to be involved in three [goals] so I am happy about that," Salah told Sky Sports. "The manager likes us to press high and there was a couple of mistakes and we managed to use them - it was part of the plan."
The bigger picture surrounding Salah's future with the club has yet to come into focus, with the 32-year-old having been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in each of the last two summers. While Salah has yet to make a move, he's in the last year of his contract at Anfield and on Sunday he declared this season to be his last with the club.
"I had a good summer, a long time to stay with myself and think positively a bit, this is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it," Salah said.
"I feel I am free to play football – we will see what happens next year.”
