Paul Dummett will be looking for a new club this summer after coming through the Newcastle United academy and playing his entire professional career with the Magpies.

Newcastle announced the departure of five first-team players following the recently completed season, including Dummett and fellow long-time Magpie Matt Ritchie.

Dummett joined the Newcastle youth system in 2000 and worked his way up to the first team, with loan spells at Gateshead and St. Mirren before his Premier League debut in 2013.

Meanwhile, Ritchie joined the club as an established player in 2016, combining with Dummett to make 428 competitive appearances for Newcastle.

Loris Karius, Kell Watts and Jeff Hendrick will also depart  St. James' Park this summer.

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to each of the players leaving the club this summer," Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said in a statement. "They have all given so much to the cause in their own ways, and I know our supporters will join me in wishing them every success with the next step in their careers.

"It's easy to judge players by appearances and goals, but the contribution made to the club by Paul and Matt in particular really has been immeasurable over many years. They have had a huge influence on our progress as a team and as a club."
