Newcastle resume their Premier League campaign with a match against visiting Chelsea on Saturday.
Neither team are where they expected to be at this stage of the season, with the Magpies sitting in seventh place while the Blues are 10th. However, both sides have shown recent flashes of form that indicate they could be ready for a charge up the table as the calendar year comes to a close.
