Arsenal should sign former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, claims former France international Emmanuel Petit, suggesting the star will be out for "revenge".
Pogba, who helped Les Bleus to the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup, is currently sidelined with a doping ban at Juventus, having been banned from football in February.
The midfielder will be eligible to return to training in January and play in March, but it seems unlikely that he will earn fresh terms in Turin, likely paving the way for a move.
Now Petit, who claimed Premier League success during a three-year spell with the Gunners, has suggested Arsenal should gamble on the star when he comes on the market.
"Paul Pogba will become a free transfer at 32 years old," Petit told Jeffbet when discussing the player's future. "I can't remember the last time I saw him smiling.
"Pogba wants revenge, he wants to prove to himself and fans around the world that he's not finished yet. France's team have missed him.
"He's apparently working very hard to get back to match fitness. I know Pogba's personality, I know he'll do anything to come back on the pitch.
"Honestly, Arsenal should gamble on signing Paul Pogba. He will give everything on the pitch. It will take him a few weeks to get fully fit, but he will be so eager to wash his name.

"There is a motivation that is priceless to a manager like Mikel Arteta. Pogba fits the Arsenal midfield perfectly, he's tall, strong and very creative.
"We all know how good a happy Pogba is, he needs love and to be given confidence, I think Arteta and Arsenal can offer this to him."
Pogba, who came through the youth ranks at United, originally moved to Juventus as a teenager in 2012, where he made his name as a creative midfielder.
He returned to United for a world record fee in 2016, where he won the EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League under Jose Mourinho, but performances soon soured.
Despite success for France, Pogba appeared to frequently clash with the Old Trafford hierarchy, and he returned to Juventus in 2022.
A string of heavy injuries however restricted his game time significantly, before he was suspended and then banned for doping offences.
