After reigniting their Premier League title challenge over the past few weeks, Arsenal now focuses on the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners travel to Portugal on Wednesday for the first leg of their round of 16 tie against Porto before meeting at the Emirates three weeks later.
With Porto on a poor run of form with just one win in their last three matches, they now have to somehow prepare to face an Arsenal side who have scored 11 goals in their last two Premier League games.
Speaking to Gambling Zone ahead of Porto vs. Arsenal, former Gunners defender William Gallas is expecting his former side to send a message to the rest of the teams competing in the Champions League.
"I think Arsenal will travel to Portugal with a lot of confidence. They look like they are ready to put in another good performance that could send a message to the rest of Europe," Gallas said.
"If you look at the way they play, over the last two weeks, we’ve seen Arsenal scoring a lot of goals. They are playing good football. I think Arsenal are playing in a similar way to Manchester City because of everything that Arteta has learned from Pep – the teams play the same way.
"The Premier League is so intense. To play against Porto, OK, it won’t be easy, but I think they will surprise Porto and I expect them to get a good result there. I see Arsenal winning this game."
After facing Porto, Mikel Areta's squad returns to Premier League action on Saturday night when they host Newcastle United.
