The Premier League rolls on with mid-week fixtures as the holiday season comes to a close.
While Matchday 19 is officially the beginning of the second half of the 2022-23 campaign, none of the teams have played 18 games as of yet. League leaders Arsenal have completed 16 matches but still boast a seven-point lead over second-place Manchester City, and the Gunners look to extend their five-game league winning streak on Tuesday when third-place Newcastle visit the Emirates.
But before that happens, Liverpool travel to Brentford on Monday with a four-match winning streak of their own as the Reds continue their attempted climb back into the European places following a disapointing start to the campaign.
Other matches to watch this week include Manchester United vs. Bournemouth, with the Red Devils clinging to fourth place. Right behind them are Tottenham, who travel to Crystal Palace on Tuesday with an aim to stop their two-match winless skid.
The glamour game of the matchday takes place Thursday as Chelsea host Manchester City. As noted, City are chasing Arsenal and cannot afford to drop points to a Chelsea side that are mired in eighth place.
