England head to the European Championships this season in a confident mood but Paul Ince is unsure whether Marcus Rashford has done enough to earn a staring place in the side.
Gareth Southgate’s side are well-fancied heading into the tournament, but the form of the Manchester United forward is a concern to some.
Since making his international bow in 2016, Rashford’s speed and directness has been a vital part of Southgate’s reign and he’s helped contribute to numerous memorable moments.
With Manchester United struggling in the Premier League, Rashford has not been his usual self and Ince, a former United and England star, believes Rashford is no longer a guaranteed starter.
“He's not a kid anymore – he’s a man and he needs to go through these stages to become a better player,” said Ince when speaking to InstantCasino.com
“I hope that goal against Spurs will give him a little lift so he can go on a little run and get his confidence back. Unless his form picks up, I don’t think he will be starting for England.”
