Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believes current Gunners boss Mikel Arteta should reach out to Arsene Wenger and seek advice on this season's Premier League title race.
After a disappointing run of results in the past few weeks, Arteta's side bounced back last weekend with a 5-0 thumping of Crystal Palace, putting their title bid back on track. However, Parlour told InstantCasino.com that the Spanish boss should use the expertise of Arsenal's legendry manager to help him navigate the rest of the season.
“I’m sure there’s a little bit of Arsene Wenger in Mikel Arteta," Parlour said
"I’m sure there’s a little bit of Pep Guardiola too. You can see certain attributes in him. But I’m so pleased that Wenger is back at the club now. I mean he had that spell when he wasn’t coming to the club. I was at his statue unveiling, which was really good to see him again, and he was in great form.
“He’s such a nice man and you know he wants the best for Arsenal Football Club. I’m sure if Mikel wanted to have a chat with Arsene Wenger then I’m sure he’d be up for it because he’s not that sort of man to turn him down. I’m sure if Mikel phoned him up, he’d help him as much as he could.”
Arsenal have no game this weekend, having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, but return to Premier League action on Tuesday when they face Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.
