Belgium bounced back from a forgettable 2022 with an undefeated run through 2023, and now they look to continue that momentum into this year as they travel to Dublin for their first match of 2024, against the Republic of Ireland.
The Belgians were bounced in the group stage at Qatar 2022 but followed that disappointment up with a near-perfect qualification campaign for this summer's Euro 2024, and now their preparations for that tournament begin in earnest.
Their hosts will not be taking part in the European Championship after a disastrous qualifying campaign with just six points from eight matches. The Irish lost six of 10 matches in 2023 across all competitions and hope to kick off 2024 on a more positive note as they get ready for UEFA Nations League B group stage play in the fall.
