Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka isn't yet a world-class player.
The Gunners star reached a milestone of 100 goal contributions after his two goals in the club's 6-0 thrashing of West Ham last weekend, and at 22 has already played over 200 games for Arsenal as well as becoming a key figure in Gareth Southgate's England set-up.
Despite those accolades, the former Man Utd defender was speaking on his Vibe with FIVE podcast and is convinced that the 22-year-old is yet a world-class talent.
Ferdinaind said: "Not yet. Listen, I think Saka’s been unreal. I actually think he needs a bit of a rest, so many games for a young kid.
“But I think, it’s almost like what is world-class? He hasn’t done it in the Champions League, has he? I’m talking in the nitty-gritty stages.
“Saka’s top, don’t get me wrong. He’s not world-class yet.”
