It wasn't the prettiest of matches, but Manchester United left Craven Cottage with three points after defeating Fulham 1-0 on Sunday.
Neither side looked particularly sharp as the teams combined for just four shots on target, with the Red Devils recording just one attempt on goal during the 90 minutes of play.
That one shot came in the 78th minute from Lisandro Martinez, who pounced on a loose ball near the top of the penalty area and unleashed an effort that deflected heavily off a Fulham defender and over goalkeeper Bernd Leno for the game's only goal.
The haphazard nature of the strike encapsulated the entire match, and while United were happy to come away with a much-needed victory, their manager wasn't going to hold up the performance as something the club should aspire to.
"Really important to have this feeling away from home," Ruben Amorim told TNT Sports. "Great support from our away fans. Not a great game and no great chances.
"We tried to play our game, but we need to improve a lot. We hold the result in the end, and we closed the game — it is really important to win now."
While Amorim was not impressed with the attacking play on the field, he did give plaudits to his team's defensive efforts as they earned a clean sheet for the first time since December 1 (15 matches).
"Really important [to get the clean sheet] because clearly you are closer to winning games, and it gives you confidence," he said. "We didn't suffer too much today and that is a good sign.
"We scored, and we move onto the next game."
