It's a rematch of the Euro 2022 quarterfinal, but the Spanish will hope for a different result this time around. In that game, their most recent encounter, it was the Lionesses who prevailed 2-1 and eventually moved on to win the entire tournament.
Since then, Spain have continued their rise into the elite of women's football, buoyed by the increased influence of Barcelona and Real Madrid on the club side.
It's a similar story for England, whose biggest clubs have helped push the sport into increased prominence, and now the national team is benefitting from the fruits of that labour. With the Euro title already in hand, the Lionesses are now looking to take one step further and claim the biggest prize in the world.
