The top two teams in Group A of Euro 2024 qualifying square off Thursday as Spain host Scotland at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville.
Spain have won their last two matches but still trail their visitors in the standings. The Spanish have played one fewer match than the rest of the group, but even a victory on Thursday would still see them behind leaders Scotland.
That's because the Scots have won all five of their matches thus far in the campaign, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture in March. As such, they have the one foot in the tournament, and a win against Spain would virtually assure Scotland a berth in their second consecutive Euros after missing out on the previous five competitions.
